HEART SICK_AND EYES FILLED UP WITH BLUE

[PLS FORGIVE MY SLOWNESS weeps. Also I thought this would be a good set up for their spar?]

He broke through the clouds like a storm; a whirlwind of fire and might, stone and brawn. It stole her breath away, as he often did, her heart fluttering even faster, lighter, at the sight of him. All her reservations slipped through her wingtips like the wind, blown away by the force of his presence, as they always were. She forgot her worries about his mate, forgot too her loyalties to that mare, and worst of all, forgot the ones to herself.

Not for the first time Ampere wondered if he had some kind of magical ability that made her thoughts so hazy around him. Yet just as with all the other thoughts that were not solely focused on him and the desire to fuck him, that one also ebbed away into nothing. She was left with only Gaucho. It should have frightened her, and it might have if she had the strength to scrounge up those last vestibules of sanity, but she could not. All she could manage was to look at him, bask in him, melt into him.

As they flew alongside each other it was as if the flames on his wings cast a light onto the horrible Island, chasing away all the shadows she thought she had seen.

With that, she should have known he was the harder trial to face.

"They may come," she murmured after a moment in return to him, her voice soft and quiet, pregnant with thought and patience. While she previously would have wanted nothing more than to be done with the island, now she felt reluctant to leave this rare time with him. She had spent so long trying to find him, and then being angry with him, and all the while wanting. Perhaps if she took she would finally be at ease?

I need to prolong this she thought desperately, her blue gaze skirting along the unusually bright grounds of the strange place before finally landing back upon him. Instantly she felt warm, her thoughts lost with action. She was compelled like last time to reach out to him and be close. The darkness of the caves, the dancing light of his wings, the rain thundering down outside. It all swept back suddenly, a moment ago instead of a year.

She laughed, a grin cutting the sound off as she dove into him suddenly, playfully. She aimed a ram with her left shoulder into his right, wings perhaps cuffing him against his ears while teeth sought to tug at a bit of his wind saturated mane. She was not soft, she didn't think he could feel it if it were, but neither was she as robust as she might be in true war. Still, there was strength to the suggestions she offered.
"Let's kill some time and see if they come," she sung out to him, darting away with a flurry of feathers as she shot to the right, away from him, planning to circle around and above to his left side. "Unless you're not up to it, big boy?" she teased from above, the blue of her gaze sliding through her mane as she looked over her shoulder, drawing him in, or so she hoped, the way he always did her.

The snake was forgotten as she slept, her color blending with his antlers. All she saw was him. It was all she wanted to see.
