Adelric  A lot has happened since the half-child was accepted to the Basin. He had returned to the Island to see if he could find his mother- a trip that had been harder than he had expected. And then there had been the matter of him coming across the badly damaged body of a mare, strongly reminiscent of the one that fell from the sky before him that strange day so many weeks ago. The information relayed when he had arrived at that gruesome scene was of vital importance to share, but for some reason the half-child had taken his time returning to the Basin, swinging through the Deep Forest for a short time, if only just to explore. Was he questioning if the Basin was really his true family? No… he had just needed time to himself.Regardless, he arrives back at the Basin now, body tired from all the trekking across the land and cold from lack of a good winter coat. Immediately, he knows where he will go. Walking back the large sentinels, looking at them suspiciously as he passes (he doesn’t trust them still), the half-child angles himself towards the hot spring at the back of the Basin. Along the way, he whickers a few times, trying to catch the attention of Erebos. Who else would he share the information with? Surely he should tell his sister as well, but he suspects she is busy practicing her art of war. “Erebos?” he calls out once as he arrives at the edge of the pool. The cerndyr, who is not a fan of the extreme cold, is quick to drink from the pool. The pair have learned already that dipping one’s whole body on the water is not a great idea, since when you get out later the cold is a hundred times worse. For now, while they await the arrival of the Basin prince, the half-child and his cervid share images of what they have seen and Adelric bounces ideas off of Tobias. Periodically, the cerndyr bleats or grunts his approval or disapproval, but is otherwise as silent as ever. Adelric does not mind; their relationship is one he will cherish forever. @[Erebos] @[Aithniel] @[Rikyn] |
