There was a moment where the young colt didn't know what was expected of him. Was he supposed to wander home and show up on his mother's doorstep with a warm smile on his face like nothing happened? Would she be able to understand the memories that haunted his young mind? The events that turned the young colts mind into the mind of the stallion that saw too much of a poisoned world? No, he couldn't expect his beloved mother to understand, nor his brother that continued to grow up under the protection of his previous homeland and herd. These where only some of the thoughts that encircled his entangled mind.
This was the same mind though was ensnared by the shadow mother, and the same mind that was possessed by the skull that diligently shook trying to rid the youngster from these thoughts. But it wasn't enough, so hooves slowly slide forward, each step being taken with hesitation as he looked toward the Threshold's thick forests and uncertain future.
So Levex continued onward, pulling his thickly feathered wings closer to his buckskin body as he pulled his head downwards towards his chest as Frostfall pinched at his flesh. His emaciated form slowly slithered through the trees, hide brushing against the winter touched bark as wary two toned eyes scanned the horizon. The youngster was expecting danger perhaps he was even looking for it as he glanced across the horizon.
There was even a soft audible sigh as the colt unfurled his wings, allowing the soft shades of blue to sing praise to the moon and reveal his ribs as he stood out there, alone, in the evening chill.
