Adelric

The half-child returns to the forest for many reasons. First, is that he wonders if he can find more of the Evil that was plaguing the island here. Having told Erebos what he saw upon the island, they have decided to come here to search for clues. This place is dark and mysterious, and in many ways he does not trust these woods, so perhaps there will be some more information here. He did find those signs here last time… although he hasn’t seen any yet. Looking back to make sure his friend and his cervid are still near, Adelric paces through the woods, bi-hued eyes scrutinizing the landscape. Except… everything seems to get darker for some reason, even though the sun was still peeking through the tree tops just a few moments ago.

Hesitating, he is about to query Erebos about what is going on, when he suddenly catches site of a small gathering. Furrowing his brow, he ultimately decides to turn that direction. Perhaps one of them here will have seen those signs he was chatting about on the way down. In this gathering, he becomes meek, wishing to become a shadow, and interestingly, he does, at least in part. Most of his body disappears, leaving only just a floating head and neck, although he is entirely unaware of the change.

Finally, he decides that he must speak, for surely Erebos cannot read his mind. Tobias can, but then… the cerndyr cannot articulate. If only Erebos and Tobias were one. “Have any of you seen any bloody signs?” he states matter-of-factly, although quietly, as though it is the most normal thing in the word. Slowly, while he waits for an answer, his body begins to reappear, though never fully becoming solid again. Rather, he remains as a ghostly copy of himself. Perhaps if he knew the purple woman was a goddess, he would not have been so quick to speak at all.
