Grabbing a small thin rock the gold takes a cut of salmon, with the skin on and places it on the rock. He then takes the corn he brought and places it next to the salmon. Drizzling both with olive oil he pushes the rock with another, near the lava pit. Next he finds several rocks to work like bowls and in one pours the rice and adds a bit of water and places it near the flame, in another he does the same with his beans and asparagus. While all this cooks he takes more of is peppers and again, places it near the flames to smoke. He pulls the asparagus back and gently, so as not to burn himself, drains the water. Unfortunately as he lifted the bowl a sharp pain of a fly bite lite up his shoulder and the gold shivers, and instinctively drops the bowl and goes to scratch the bite. Hot water splashes out onto his legs causing him to jump and moan with the reminded effort this all took. Still, the call, while laughing, soothes him and he continues.
Draining his rice, beans and asparagus the gold now set to work on his pepper. In the same manner as before he peeled it carefully and cut out the insides and sliced it into small pieces. He then tossed it into his bean pot. Next he pulled the roasted corn plate from the flame and standing it between two rocks to hold it, cut off the kernels, and mixed those with his beans and peppers. He tossed into this bowl his a little olive oil and then pushed it towards the flame to warm it and help the flavors marinate. Next he grabbed a flatter rock and a large leaf to cover it. Taking his rice he piled it on one side of the plate into a high half sphere shape. Then taking the asparagus he turned it upright. He had made sure to cook the rice in the water until it was sticky, so that he could make it hold most of its shape while he pushed the end of the asparagus into the rice.
It was tricky business, but in the end worked rather well. At last he gathered his salmon and scooped it up onto the plate on the other side from the rice, and on top of it added his corn, bean, and pepper mixture. At last done he turned to the turkey and laid the dish before her. “What a better place to observe the animal kingdom than by the sea. Here made for you to travel through is an island jungle of asparagus and rice, rich in plant life, but the sea also has plenty to offer. Here showing off for you is a grilled salmon with colorful scales of yellow, red, and rich black. A wonderful trip into two of the most vibrant landscapes the animal kingdom has to offer.” The gold smiles pleasantly and only lightly shakes his head. This was certainly a weary task, and his strength for company and patience was failing him, especially after near burning himself. Surely though, if he could answer whatever called to him from that little egg, it would be worth it.
