He listened attentively as she spoke once again, although her mention of the Basin made the feathers at his shoulders fluff in mild alarm. He didn't fear this mare; even with a horn he believed he could defeat her should they come to blows...or fly like a bat out of hell. So he smoothed down the feathers and continued to listen, head tilted slightly. She did not seem hostile, but rather friendly, and he was intrigued by the conversation and her voice.

"I have seen the skyribbons as i flew over what Helovians call the Frostbreath Steppe. It is truly a beautiful thing. But as your heart lies with the cold of the mountains, mine is with the cold of the desert night, alive with wondrous creatures." He said, flashing a grin at her. "If you would like, i could escort you to your home? Albeit i would have to depart swiftly; i am rather fond of these." He joked, lifting his wings and lightly fanning the air.

"What were you sick with, if i may ask? And forgive me for interrupting your foraging." He said, dipping his head to her apologetically, a sheepish look on his face like a kid caught with his hand-er-hoof in the candy jar. He should have apologized sooner, but was rather distracted by her alluring voice and gleaming horn. Kind of hard not to be distracted.
