Tonight, I had waited for the herd to fall silent under the blanket of stars before breaking away to explore the night. By now, I was quickly adjusting to walking along the sands that my hair left trails in, climbing up dunes with ease save for an uncommon stumble. The moon shone down on me like a watchful angel, lighting my way and showing me the nocturnal world of the Throat. I wasn't particularly sure of what I was looking for, but I had been drawn further into the desert as though the moon herself was calling to me. Auds pricked to catch any sort of sound, every little noise enhanced by the vast silence. For whatever reason, I began to feel uncomfortable as insects that were once singing their songs grew quiet...
