His hooves scraped down her shoulder, the jagged edge of them ripping skin and pulling hair out from the very roots. Sheer, blinding rage shot through Histe as the stallion did not topple over backwards after she'd rammed him. He'd steeled himself and instead of falling over backwards he crashed his weight down on her. She knew that he expected her to crumble under his weight, but she wouldn't give him the satisfaction. She wrenched her neck free from its place under his, her ears pressing back against her head as she heard the hollow snap of his teeth.

Histe's hooves slid in the slick mud, not allowing her to really dig in and hold herself against his pushing so he was able to slide her back a few inches at a time thanks in part to his greater weight. The mare snarled and turned her head, snapping viciously at Rico's neck. He may have been overpowering her because of his greater mass, but she would not let the close quarters go to waste. She snapped again when he suddenly lurched himself away from her. The minute his hooves hit the ground she jumped forward, aiming a low kick at his front legs.

She didn't linger long because she knew he would strike back, quick and deadly as a rattlesnake. The sound of his voice rang out across the battlefield and she circled around, her pale eyes finding his battle weary form and she smiled. Quickly she released her hold on her magic, the rain ending abruptly and the sky beginning to clear as she stood facing him. He complimented her, but she would not return the sentiment. "Are you done here?" She could certainly go another few rounds, but she wasn't so sure about the stallion. "Or is your ass too chafed?"
