Scarecrow In those two precious moments his world had fallen to pieces. Her face seems to be contorted in a different manner, and suddenly words fall out of her mouth like a waterfall. It's a horrifying reality that becomes even more tangible the more she asks, and the more he can't reply. His green eyes stare not at her, but past her as if he's waiting for something to come and take him away. His body even begins to shake as he takes a few steps back until his rear is pressed up against the rough surface of a rock. There is no where to go, he is like a cornered animal awaiting death. He cannot fight, and he is at the bottom of the food chain. There is no hope. As more time passes he can't fight her questions anymore. She wants to know, and whether or not he tells her, it could be the end anyways. His eyes dart to her and he nods slowly. His head bobbing ever so slightly to tell her that it was him who had done that. She had touched him, and everything is revealed. His breathing still hasn't calmed, but as he squeezes his eyes shut and he reaches out to her. Will she let him tell her? Explain to her what has gone on? Could she actually help him even if only for a little bit? The world may never know, but it is time he tries. Too long he has banished himself to the shadows, and sooner or later, he'll have to crawl out of his safe zone. Even in the darkest places, the light can reach into it.
