She's sad, and he can see it. The way she moves, and the way her eyes prickle, he notices. When one thing is missing, the others work harder so he is hyper focused on every small movement and twitch. He could not decipher what she was so sad at though, was she scared of him, or was she just trying to understand? The amount of scenarios are endless. Yet, again she reaches toward him, and this time, he steps into her touch. His bold green eyes meeting hers just before throwing her into his past. The memories are a mix of awful ones and beautiful ones. How long would she stay? He could not know, but it is time someone knows. She's sucked into his eyes, his body of the past.

It's a vision that's so vividly stuck in his mind. It begins, a mother of silver cradling him. His little vision sees on her loving eyes and strong face. She's a mother meant for greatness. The small boy pushes against her comfort, wanting to move, but she resists and keeps him close to her. Confused, but ultimately faithful to his mothers command, he stays. As the dawn falls out of the sky, a very bright light appears. The mother starts weeping, her tears staining her face, praising the light for its gift. Gift of what? Suddenly the light touches him, forcing him to see a scenario where he can put pictures into the minds of others. Then, as quickly as it came, it was gone. The foal blinked a few times, looking to the mom before curling up and falling asleep. Then his father showed up, he screamed and snorted at the silver protector, and like the star, eventually storming off.

The next morning another gift is stashed by his side. This time, the silver mother was gone, and he was left curled on the ground. He slipped the pendant of his head, entranced by the stiff creature and the way it bobbed and moved. Was this what the light actually looked like? Suddenly the mother rushed back, pushing him up with her soft nose. She pushed him along until they were secured in a dark cave, away from everyone else. Where was dad? Why was mom so scared?

These were answered very quickly, a group of about ten horses rushed the little nook, pushing through the silver protector. 'Cerin!' The words cut into his mind like a knife, until he is grabbed and forced away. There was so much screaming, so much fighting! The other horses dare not touch him, and prodded him along with all sorts of weird pointy things. He continues until he's pushed to the very outskirts of the lands he knows. The group looks upon him, and begins to chase him. He runs, runs as fast as he can, but he can't get away. His breathing burns his throat and his hear pounds wildly in his chest. Looking back, the pursuers, and his mother and father, are all gone. He looks around, unable to find where he is going. The scarecrow hangs around his neck.

Cerin pulls back now, breathing heavily and looking to her for some sort of response. At least someone knows now, he is not the scarecrow, he is Cerin. This is why he cannot do what he just did. This is why the leader man assumed he was useless. He couldn't do anything without ruining the entire situation. Would Spice just be another failed attempt put into the book of his life? To bad a gain cannot be won without a risk.
