if this is to end in fire
wildfire
then we should all burn together
He would burn, but would never fizzle out. Gaucho would never let his light, the physical representation of the Sun God's power, dwindle or fizzle. He would burn strong, bright, and hot. He would serve his lord, and protect his herd. His family.
Gliding in the moist Birdsong air made Gaucho feel invigorated. Two buckets clanged on his forelegs as he glided, holding his knees to his chest so that the metal tools would not fall. One was crafted with great skill, while the other was awkward and obtuse. Still, both would serve his purpose equally well (the bucket Buce created did not appear to have any holes in it that he could see). This part of the task was simple enough - gather oil from the Endless Blue -
[silence].
Gaucho didn't realize just how much Mara's mind filled his own until it disappeared. The quiet thrum of her mind was suddenly pulled from his as he glided over the sands and towards the water. He snorted, tossing his head slightly to ensure he could still feel her weight on his skull, which indeed he could. Could she still hear him? He both thought and said: "Evolat" followed up by a weary sigh.
Perhaps this would be harder than he thought.
Angling himself downwards, hearing the rush of the air against his skin but not Mara's mind-voice, Gaucho glided towards the sands. As he landed, he leaned backwards so that he could delicately place the buckets upon the sands and remove his forelegs before fully landing. His wings closed against his flanks as his stormy gaze surveyed the beach.
Now all he needed was to find the oil.
[Open to anyone. Gaucho can't hear anything anyone says right now as part of his quest!]
