If the gold though there was any chance in him staying, it was most certainly gone when he looked back at the fire bird. Every edge of the blade was there written on his face. Bristled at the gold’s words that dun was certainly showing himself well today. The gold was mildly impressed and amused at this creature. For as thick as he was this was a very curious change, and one he had not been ready for. It was a mistake he most certainly would not make again. Honestly the dun was getting off rather easy, the gold assured himself. There certainly were much meaner tricks he could have played. For instance when the dun calls back to him in some coded way alluding to the destruction of the bridge the gold only wrinkles his face and nods. Calling back a cautious “Till then.” Really he could have done much worse. Haldir though was certainly not leaving with the sly satisfaction of the golden who nosed him forward. He had loved those beautiful wings. The way the light flickered about them and danced in the very air like a live thing. Perhaps he could get the golden to tell him what the flames were called, as the deer knew not the name for them. The small black spotted creature looked back with a forlorn glance at those beautiful wings. Still he should be happy, he and the gold it seemed were going on another adventure! Shaking his wee head the fawn dances forward. The golden for his side was already planning, manipulating what was said into future schemes. A smirk rises on his face, and a devilish spark flashes in his eye, for the golden truly has a cruel return for such aggression when it came to this soon to be isle.
