GAUCHO
And I'd bring you further roses but it does you no good

Gaucho, who had always been a strongly devout and superstitious creature, couldn't have agreed more. Where he had come from, their shaman's and holy-women had been among the most revered of the herd. Of course the Khal and his war council provided physical security, but the disciples and seers provided insights into the soul of the world and the eye of the earth. Gaucho had always respected their teachings and, as a youngster, had even thought that one day he would join them. His path had taken a very different turn however as he should have expected. Everyone knew the son of the Khal would follow in his foot steps.

Never the less, Gaucho was not one to write off religious musings as being only fables and tales for the young. He generally admired and envied those with a deeper connection to the invisible currents that guided their lives.

"Gaucho happy to have you-" He said, his stormy gaze a haze of sincerity and intrigue. Was there nothing this tigermare wasn't capable of? Well, other than flight? She appeared quick witted, bold, and intelligent. That she used her ideals rather than letting them use her impressed the warrior. "You strong and wise. Can say anything you want to Gaucho." He concluded with a chuckle. He was no dictator - he would not silence those around him. Especially not when they were as amusing and interesting as Maren was proving to be.

Looking to the sky, Gaucho sighed slightly. He would have liked to continue their conversation, but duty called. They were not yet protected, not the way they would be once the bridge was completed. Their questing was nearly done, but there were also the preparations for the festival of the sun to consider. The dun was exhausted, but until his work was completed he would not rest.

"Gaucho must patrol but - " His wings spread from his dark sides as he retreated a few steps so that his take off would not throw sand towards her. "- Gaucho see you again. Talk more."

On burning blackened wings the Wildfire lifted himself into the air with the ease and grace of long practice. He cast a glance at the land-bridge, briefly imagining it exploding, before looking down at Maren one last time. With a gentle smile, Gaucho's focus returned to the skies as she increased his altitude and continued his patrol.

& fin! Maybe we can have a "I hate your stupid bridge" thread later, lmao.
