Ampere & Zèklè
She had roused him from his sleep in the sands before the sun was due to set. It began with a giggled whisper to hurry, that she had a surprise for him, and then she'd run off, enticing him to chase by lingering just ahead of him. In good spirit, she let him catch her a time or two, playing until weariness filled their legs and love their hearts. She was sure however, to keep them on track even as they frolicked, unwilling to miss the glory of the oceanic sunset.Breathless, she paused at the line where the surf met the sand, head lifting into the sea breeze with a warm smile. "This is my favorite place," she murmured, eyes fluttering shut beneath black lids as her mane danced in the salty breath of the surf. "It's beautiful, don't you think?" Her head turned towards him, the blue of her gaze reflecting that of the waters which moved endlessly. Beyond the sun was beginning its bloody decline, clouds seemingly pulled into the end of the horizon with it, colors swirled upon them in all their glory. "Peaceful." She breathed deep, a smile pressed permanently to her lips as she turned to watch the sunset. It wasn't often that she had time for herself, but it was important to make it so. She wanted to impart that lesson upon him, even if not directly. Life would always be chaos, so you had to be willing to steal some serenity, even if only a couple of minutes worth. It did wonders for the soul. Reaching out to touch his neck with her plush muzzle, Ampere breathed warmth on him. In the process her knees knelt down to the sands, her rear soon following as she lay in the folds of the beach. It was measurably cooler on this beach, and the shoreline was full of a different sort of softness, the grains finer, smoother, worn down by wind and water. "Have I told you the story of the Sun and the Moon, little lightning?"
