Others come, but Syrena did not pay a single one of them any attention other than to make sure there was at least a couple feet of space between them and her. She did not one of them accidentally touching her and she shied away obviously when anyone got too close. She was interested in this egg and the creature that was guarding it but she was not interested in making any friends or having her reputation tarnished because one of these Helovians got too close.

They give their stories and the creature listened to them all - Syrena wasn’t impressed by most of them.

But they were all given a second chance to impress the one with the egg, this time with another story. Again she took her time, musing over the best string of words to put together. She had never had to impress anyone with words before - they were always impressed with her appearance. Or, at least, very few words whispered in her silky voice were required.

Now, even these ten words needed some contemplation. But they came to her eventually, finding a coherent sentence easier to form with these rules than with the last one. “I am one lone siren: cursed, forever separate.” A slight pause as she thought of the next two words, a sliver of a smile brightening up those sea-grey eyes for a moment. “Obviously bewitching.” Well, obviously indeed. She just hoped it was bewitching enough for this creature - whatever was inside of that egg, everyone else seemed interested in it which was enough for her to want it more.
