Listening patiently while others continued to arrive to tell their stories the colt tried to figure out what he had said before. It was something about the way the words sounded that did not make sense to his untrained brain that had him confused. Oh well it must have been acceptable for he was not kicked out of this yet. Looking up to the egg with fascination he tried to picture whatever was inside. After the loss of his brother he would give anything to have someone to play with and grow up with. Yes, he had his mother but it wasn't the same kind of connection. He needed someone who would put up with his games and listen to his stories. Maybe if the crow lady liked his stories the best he might get the chance to help whatever creature was inside the egg.

Lost in his own little world for a few moments he did not notice when the egg lady began asking for more stories. A few of the others beat him to being the first one but he eagerly awaited his turn patiently. When there was a small gap between speakers he took a confident step forward and began to speak. " I do not like messy horrid stories. Annoying jokesters discovered."

Gazing up to the lady with curiosity he watched her for a moment before stepping back to allow others the room to speak up. Well he had tried his best to come up with things that made sense but it was hard while following the rules. There were lots of stories that he could tell if he could speak freely but today those two would have to do. "Please like my story..." he begged silently as if the lady could hear him.
