I'm not entirely sure I recognize their faces, the equines (well, pegasi.. hybrid.. whatever) that we meet. Leads of other herds? It doesn't matter. Following December - and I realize that I'm actually quite happy to do so, because I really don't need to be in charge of shit all the time since I suck at it - makes my life easier and it presents me with new faces. But of course the one thing that December doesn't make easier is my personal life. She digs into the comments I've already laid bare.
"I don't think she intended to murder." Though it sure felt like it at some point. The little filly might have been a little cray, but I don't think she knew what was going on enough to realize she was threatening a life. "She just thought that exploding things was a way to solve a problem. Of course it wasn't..." Why am I defending her? Fuck if I know. Fucking instinct I suppose, though I still intend to pick that bone with Oxy. I'd always wanted to be his friend, but circumstances - and certain personality differences I suppose - had never allowed for it.
I huff and go silent again, simply dropping my head to pick at the plants with her, mindlessly doing the task that the Earth God has set forth. Too many emotions inside me to think about what he wants us to do, and for that reason, if no other, I am thankful that I have December by my side. She is my rock right now, keeping me at least a little focused. It seems we both have a lot of emotions unchecked and unresolved that threaten to overwhelm us at any moment.
