The work with the flood had left her little time to think, something she was appreciative of. Whenever she had a moment though, she inevitably drifted to thoughts of him, and it hurt. Not this time though, not now when there was more important work to be done than the patching up of a love-worn heart. As Ampere moved she forced herself to realize what was happening. The Earth is renewing the land..., but why? Because darkness held it so long. Darkness she could have stopped, a murderer (him) she could have stood between. The gods had not been wrong in blaming them, and she felt the quivering echo of their powerful words still resonating inside of her, trapped in the very marrow of her bones. She was capable, she was action, she was a force to be reckoned with.

She was back on the beach, the salted breeze of a coming storm tangling her dark mane into knots against her neck, the very tips trailing in fluttered chaos against her bowed nape. Mesec stood with her, but all intents and purposes the closest agent of the wickedness that embodied the world, but he did not subsist on the shadows, but rather reached out towards the slight glitter of starlight. The stormlight cast shadows and highlights on his dark frame, balancing him. Ampere was breathless, swept into the churning roar of the ocean that he carved as he walked, spoke, was. If he could do that, all of them could.

The whatch.

Although her thoughts lingered on that moment and dwelled on several dark ones after, her hooves seemed to take her to their own place in the Grove. It was a supposedly romantic setting, though none of her romps had ever unfurled in the shadow-wrought depths of the forest, perhaps her ideas could flourish here, mingling in the sweet success of growth and fruition. A smile played on Ampere's lips as she waltzed through the beautiful land, enamored with the promises it held.

The grin faltered, then fell away into a gasp.

There before her, was herself. All her thought processes halted, crashed into one another and burst into shrapnel that screamed through her skull with an instant, pounding headache. In response she shook her crown thoroughly, black threads scattering against either side of her neck, making her appear disheveled. The motion did nothing to dispel the image though, which caused a hesitant step back. Frequently Ampere was an irrational mare, but she always sought out the rationality of a situation, even if she didn't always grab hold of it. This...whatever it was, could only be a dream, an illusion, a stress induced hallucination. Whatever it was it couldn't be real, could it? Then there'd be nothing to fear, she thought boldly, seizing the strangeness and stepping towards it with a rapid, purposeful stride.

Before she drew upon herself, a deer approached the floundering blue pegasus, playful in his youthful antics. Her stride didn't hesitate, but her mind did. Was this, the embodiment of her title? Was this an actual Mother of Companions as she was called? But then, what has happened to agile flier? The more she asked, the more confused she got, so she focused on simply dispelling it by running into the vision.

Picking up a trot Ampere did just that, trying to walk into, and she figured through, herself. The solid frame would come as quite the surprise though, forcing a slurred, "What?" from her frowning lips. It was never anger that seized her though, only wonder.
