Ampere was not the only one outraged by what was seen upon the beach. I had brought Azeeza here to practice her flight, so that her wings would grow strong and her body light on the generous thermals of the sea. But below was a group, one that sent anger lancing through my body like a knife. A mother and child, the mother's dark hide stained with blood, being forced across the sand by a large group... and standing before them was a familiar blue-black mare. Shit. I coo to Azee, forming a picture in my mind of her on Ampere's back, alerting her to my presence(for I was up high enough that I most likely appeared just a normal bird. Tailfeathers, fucking amazing), plus through Azee's eyes(interesting little thing I learned via Gaucho/Mara that was possible) I could see when the mare would attack, if she did. Azee dove down, landing in a heap of feathers and down upon Ampere's back. Hell I'm just relieved she actually landed without tearing out some feathers. Through her eyes I see the group(although it's blurry), and the caged companion. Well, no wonder Ampere was pissed, although the treatment of the mare and her foal concern me more. I circle above, gaze flickering over every one before it lands on the front-right mare, the one with the sword. A grim smile parts my lips, and I dip my head down, drawing my dagger. I was excited, nostrils flaring as I focus upon my target below. Sword vs Dagger... this was gonna be fun. However... two against eight? Those odds...they were not favorable. Azee picks up on my concern and chirrups softly, downy feathers fluffing before she tugs at Ampere's mane, and at my insistence she flutters off to a nearby tree, long talons curling around the branch. Assured she was safe, and that Ampere now knew I waited for her to move, I circled above, gaze focusing upon the sword-mare. "Altan's speech." |
