The titan moved swiftly, muscles rippling under onyx fur as he briskly walked towards the shore. If it had been a regular day, he would've ignored the situation at hand, but today wasn't normal. In all his effort to acclimate to his new home, he had lacked the time to carefully strengthen the steel mask that has hid him carefully from the world. A crack has found it's way to his prized (figurative) mask, true emotions shown today. It wasn't that he didn't feel emotion, he just hid most of them away. His eyes were wild today, and his movements weren't calculated. He swayed as he walked, his body moving rythmically with the waves, as if his bones had some unspoken agreement with the water that his mind hadn't known about. It would almost appear that Caleb was amidst a drunken stupor, but that was far from the truth. He was used to being orderly and composed, but today he felt (and no doubt looked) both confused and worried, and deep down, he was vulnerable. In a quick attempt to regain his rapidly declining composure, the onyx stag grunts. His head it tossed up and down a few times, forcing his already wild locks to flail madly in the air (no doubt making them further wild). With a barely noticeable flutter of his ebony lashed lids, he focused on what had begun to unfold rather rapidly in front of him.

A mare has waded into the water, vanishing under it's surface, but has yet to reappear. She's gone a long time. Caleb isn't sure what to do, so he halts. His breathing is rapid as adrenaline spikes through his veins. His ears flick madly back and fourth, anxiety gripping at his stomach. She is gone for what seems to be days, years, decades. A blank stare grips his usually vibrant eyes as he plants his gaze on where he last saw her blue ass descend. And through this all, he could only think of one thing to say.

"What the.... fuck?"

Suddenly, she was there again. Her champagne coat was licked by salt water. Drops flew off of her every movement she made. She had fetched something. It appeared to be an object for from opaque. Caleb assumed it was glass, but didn't jump to conclusion. His gaze lingered on the crown that now lay on the sand for an inkling of a second before his steel orbs sought hers, a burning emotion behind them. What was the burning emotion? It was hard to decipher. His mask had mostly slid cooly onto his face, his expression neutral. Still, no mask could hide emotion that danced in raw in his pupils.

He waltzed towards her, coving distance easily with his huge form. With a demanding demeanor, he questioned the women. "How did you go so long?" without breathing, he craved to add on, but had spoken enough words for her to comprehend him. His domineering mind faltered slightly, stone guise disappearing for a brief second, revealing a tender Caleb. "What where you--" He cut himself off, knowing exactly what she was doing. She had been fetching the crown that lay between her forelimbs. Perhaps it was a different question he craved to ask, but it had already been silently answered. No, she wasn't trying to kill herself. He inwardly sighed, thankful it hadn't been a suicide attempt. She was safe, that's all he could ask of any horse. Remain safe.

And in a moment, he became stoic and unwavering, his mask firmly settled, the hole in his wall closing up, successfully hiding emotions once again.

ooc: hope you don't mind me crashing :3 also, calebs not usually like this. He'll be more normal next post :p
