ISOPIA
In reality's shadow the blind see best.

The girl seemed entirely unaware of Mesec's discomfort or disagreement. After all, what did it matter how heartless his mother in fact was? To the demi-child's mind, one thing had nothing to do with the other. Did she need heart to impart the lesson and wisdom that she did to the Helovians? No. Did she need heart to break through their faded, old, and narrow views of the world to open their eyes? The girl didn't think so.

As Mesec took her gift and then moved towards her, the girl froze. It felt the way it did when she slowly decomposed into stone, or marble - only this time her magic had nothing to do with it. She had never really been touched before. No one had bothered. Kahlua of course had, but not since she was very small. And the rest of them? Those who lived in the Edge? Well, they had avoided her entirely, or over compensated for her oddness by pretending that nothing was wrong. As the heat from Mesec's body contacted her skin, she felt herself shiver slightly, although the feeling wasn't entirely unpleasant. Her ears twitched self consciously as he placed the blossom in her mane.

It didn't even occur to her to say thank-you. She had been the one to move the earth after all, and the gift that he had had been given to him by her Father. The normal rules of etiquette were entirely lost upon her.

Swallowing hard, the girl looked around to try and change the direction of the conversation, no longer wanting to be the focus. Her earth-creature slumped back to the ground, as she looked at Mesec. "What can you do?" She asked, trying to sound casual, though recognizing the uncertainty that had entered into her voice. The girl thought the question was fairly relevant - she assumed that the power she had had come directly from her father. Following that logic, if she possessed magic from her divine parent, then likely Mesec would as well.
