Whatever is happening now, insanity ensues. The egg somehow barely makes it through the hole, actually in one piece. A ripple effect of shock crosses Cerin's body, but he doesn't question it. Whatever had happened, it was god sent that everyone, and thing, came out in one piece. Suddenly, a wall of fire seems to cut him off from the rest of the group. Only four are here now, including Cerin himself. The egg is sitting quietly with them. Cerin looks anxiously into the flames. Were the others okay? Had they made it out alive?
A new fear seized over him, and he seemed to lock up in his own joints. Luckily, the bigger unicorn boy seems to know what he is doing. His dragon moves to curl up against it, seemingly heating it to keep it alive. Smart. His voice bellows out, beckoning others to find nesting materials. Cerin begins to scramble around, seemingly in a haze at all of this commotion. He was beginning to think that maybe he had been put into a world of fake reality. Scanning the ground, there seemed to be very few things that he could use. A few branches here, clay-like soil there...
Ah. He had an idea. Grabbing some of the dried branches, he began his work. It would take a small amount of time, but could be used to help hold the egg. Lying the sticks out in straights, he moves towards the edge of a no doubt freezing nearby pond. He began digging at the clay like soil, trying to pick them up in sod pieces so he could gather them up. Dragging them back to the sticks, he laid them across and pushed it so they were bound together. Next, he grabbed some of the scrubby foliage, and patted that into the exposed side of the clay-like dirt.
Now was the hard part. Tilting it upright, he had a little clay-like rectangle. It sat neatly on its side, quickly hardening in the summer sun. Using his two font hooves, he uses them to mold the rectangle into a cylinder shape around his muzzle. There is a slight chill to it, but it could help when isolated properly. Taking a sinewy stick, he lies it across the binding and smooths it out. It takes a bit for the dirt cylinder to set, but it eventually works. Gently, he noses it back towards the group, and eventually leaves it near the white dragon. He then scurries off to grab extra scrubby foliage to make the inner part soft for the egg, and to cover the exposed ground at the bottom of the cylinder.
Hopefully he hadn't been too late, and just incase, he hopes his magic can be of a little help. Hesitantly he lowers his nose to the egg, and begins to create a reality of warmth. It seems to emanate from all side, but doesn't become overpowering. Hopefully his powers could extend for eggs. It wasn't any physical warmth, but mentally he knew the powers of feeling success (or heat at this point). Turning back, he waits for the others. What would they have in store?
Notes;; Cerin makes a sod-clay cylinder for a nest base, using some of the sparse grasses as insulation. He then uses his magic powers to see if he can create a false reality for the fetus of warmth until they can get it in physical warmth. He hopes it mentally keeps the egg hanging on a little longer.
