Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Night had fallen and it was a relatively cool night, but the calm atmosphere did not slow down her pounding heart. She had to get out, had to catch her breath and clear her mind. Perhaps she had known deep in her soul, yet hearing the words and being forced into the realisation that never again would she see her daughter. The pain was unbearable. The doe wanted to curl up and just wither away until there was nothing left, inside she felt...nothing. Only her life would not allow her to slip back into a meaningless depression. True, the fae princess did not have anyone who would be able to pick up back up but there where others counting on her. Rhiannon was still going strong; her step daughter had proven time and time again that Helovia was her oyster and the pearl inside was hers for the taking. Surely Asch was out there still, although her eldest daughter seemed to have disappeared without a trace, no one had seen or heard from Asch. Not even before Arwen had died.

Arwen. The golden daughter.

Shaking her head the doe fought to keep all of the pain inside. Yet it was still there on the surface, demanding to be felt, needing all of her attention. All too soon the doe was mulling over memory and pain, involving her girls and their broken relationship. What would have caused Arwen to become so reckless? Unless she knew something or unless something had happened to Asch. But what? Her frustration broke through the surface and the mask slipped. Pain and grief washed over her features like a tidal wave, leaving nothing in it's wake. Why did such terrible things happen to her family? In a pervious life she must have done something awful to deserve such pain and suffering.

Crowley had abandoned them, yet she couldn't find it in herself to blame him for the misfortune of their daughters. Or her own ill fate. In all honesty there had been no promise, nothing to hold against him.

Still, what would her life be like if she hadn't been blessed with her girls. What if she had a choice and she knew the outcome of both scenarios, would she still want to be standing her- feeling this immense pain? No one would ever know because only fate knew the way things would have worked out if she hadn't had her daughters. Even now, feeling this pain the doe knew the truth.

Wynter swooped low and came to land beside Arah. Yet the doe was lost to this world, having retreated into her own thoughts and pain. Wynter clicked her beak once before wondering a meter in front of the doe, looking out over the fields. Out there was adventure and in the past the fae princess would have treated her bonded to exploring the land and seeing what lay ahead. But not tonight, now was the time for Arah to reflect and grieve while Wynter simply kept her company. The griffin knew that Arah needed another though, perhaps the winged King of The Edge or The Engineer. Maybe that dark mare who Arah had formed much a close bond with; Roland or maybe Illynx lurked in the long grasses, they were both friends.

Someone who would be her companion for the night.

@[Tilney] - She'll brighten up with some company!! :)
