Birds! They were so often a pegasus' friend in the sky, a comfort and a friend, to be able to share the skies with such majestic critters - alas, at this time they were not appreciated. A grunt escaped the maw of Azzuen, ears flicked back in annoyance as he struggled to maintain, eyeing with frustration as others pulled ahead of him. It's OK, it's OK, I do better over the long distance anyway... he attempted to reassure himself, pushing onwards. South, he detected with a flick of his eyes towards the Sun and a glance to the lands ahead. The Threshold, the barrier between this world and the outside worlds - including Isilme - they were over it now, diving through purple hoops, using the space in between the hoops to gain ground. The great rings changed colour as the Deep Forest came into view, Azzuen felt the notorious northern breeze pick up and buffet him from behind. He tried to use it to his advantage, allowing his broad wingspan to scoop the air up and propel his comparatively small bulk onwards. With each ring he tucked his limbs up to his chest, and folded his wings, his eyes also changed colour to match them. Onwards, onwards, he kept thinking, following the path laid out by the Moonlit Goddess, hoping for some kind of luck to give him the strength to carry on.
