Alleo always considered healers to be formidable opponents when it came to battles. Someone with the knowledge of how the body worked, what specific blows could do to certain areas, how to inflict wounds that would take a longer time healing than others was not someone to be taken lightly. The mare may have been smaller than he but smaller did not always mean weaker, his own sister was proof enough of that. He was certain that the little healer would be quick on her feet and have a lower center of gravity, but he still wanted to try to use his weight to his advantage to try to bowl her over. Had it not been for her companion he was certain that he would have succeeded.

Pain radiated from his right shoulder as the damned cat latched onto him. A very primal fear fixated itself into the stallion's mind because he knew what came next when a big cat managed to get onto a horse's back. It would be a bite to the base of the neck with the sole purpose of breaking the neck and attempting to sever the spinal chord. He knew that it was unlikely that the bite would kill him right away. Kiara would either have to take it upon herself to end his suffering or leave him there on the battlefield to dehydrate and starve. He bellowed as he felt teeth puncture his flesh, but thankfully Keiran had missed his mark. Could the cat miss twice? He didn't feel like the odds were in his favor and it was possible that Keiran's next bite could be the one that stopped him permanently. No! He couldn't let that happen. He had Lakota and Rasta both expecting him to return to them and he couldn't let them down by allowing himself to fall victim to Kiara and her pet. So Alleo skidded and slid in the mud as he tried to stop and once he had he reared up high and threw his weight backwards. If the cat was still on his back then hopefully it would be crushed under the weight of his body.

The stallion grunted as he hit the ground, the air forced from his lungs, but he had very little time to waste with trying to catch his breath. He had to get up. He couldn't lie prone on the ground with Kiara planning her next move and her cat somewhere. So Alleo rolled, gathered his legs and pushed himself up, but the slick ground seemed to not want to let him rise. His back hooves never found a solid grip in the mud and he slipped, his hind end crashing back down and straining the muscles in his sides as his front end stayed supported by his front legs. Muddy ears were pinned tightly against his skull as he, again, tried to stand and was finally successful.

Where was she?

Mismatched eyes scanned the battlefield as he tried to locate the roan healer through the sea of clashing bodies. Had she given up and run for it while her cat created a distraction? It was possible, but he didn't think that she was the type to run away. His search for her only lasted a few seconds because there was still the cat hanging close by. If he attacked her beloved cat would she return and fight him? There was only one way for Alleo to find out and that was to target Keiran. "Here kitty, kitty." He called as he moved toward the panther. Since he couldn't find the run away healer the cat really would have to suffice. Hooves lashed out as he attempted to strike Keiran's side and at the same time he sought to latch his teeth onto any part of the companion that he could.

Summary: Keiran's claws Alleo's right shoulder and gets onto his back and bites his neck. Alleo stops and rears up high and throws himself backward to try to crush Keiran. As he tries to gets up he slips and strains the muscles in his sides. He gets up and looks for Kiara (since she ran away in her post) and when he doesn't see her he turns to attack Keiran with his hooves. He also tries to bite him.
