Kiara

Keiran was enjoying his first real fight. Murdering the stallion who had raped Kiara had been fun to but in a different way from this. There had been multiples, not just him. His claws sank as deep as he could into Alleo's flesh. His teeth also struck true as he bit down on Alleo's neck. He didn't bite hard enough to kill him, he wasn't seeking to murder this night. He just wanted his bonded safe and out of harms way. She had run, putting distance between him and her. Keiran be careful. She spoke in his mind. His reply was cool and calm as ever. Get Vitani and Sarabi and run.

Her hooves drummed into the ground, getting space between herself and the battle. She needed to regroup, to gather herself. Keiran was giving her that chance. His attack had landed, she could feel it though their bond. His joy of a successful attack. She halted, catching her breath in the darkness. He had told her to get her daughter and her bonded and run. For a few moments she considered just that. She shook visibly, her emotions high and ready to cause a breakdown. Gotta pull myself together. She breathed. She turned around, hearing Alleo's voice. "Here kitty, kitty." No. Surely he wasn't going to go after her bonded instead of giving chase. Was he?

Her worry for her bonded over ruled every other emotion. It only worsened as she could feel his pain. As Alleo threw his weight up into the air and backward, Keiran leaped from the stallion's back. He fell hard with a thud against the ground. The air knocked out of him for a few moments. In those moments that he lay there, Alleo had made it back to his hooves. The pain in her bonded had drawn her back just in time. The little roan darted in between her bonded and Alleo, screaming as his hooves struck her right side. His bite instead of hitting Keiran hit her. His teeth pinched the skin on the right side of her neck, and she closed her emerald eyes trying to make herself go on. The pain from her side was the worst. She could feel the blood oozing from the gashes Alleo's hooves had just made.

Keiran reacted to her pain much like she had his. While she just stood there taking it, he was going to do something about it. He scrambled up on his paws despite being tired and sore all over. He moves off for a moment, only long enough to come charging back. He leaps, paws and claw out extended seeking to scratch out Alleo's eyes and cause any other damage he could.

Kiara runs off, almost thinking of getting her daughter and running as Keiran had told her. But when she feels him in pain from hitting the ground leaping for Alleo's back she returns. She arrives just in time to take the hits from Alleo's hooves on her right side of her belly and his bite to the right side of her neck. Keiran responds by getting back on his paws and leaping for Alleo's face trying to claw his eyes out
