dissolvable & tasteless
is there a powder to erase this?

Although the freckled stallion thought his interrogatory dialogue nearly futile, he was strangely pleased when his words were met, almost vigorously, with a series of emphasized nods and even a "yes" after she'd seemed puzzled just before. His tail flicked against his flank in ambiguous satisfaction, the motion merely a swoosh of long, stringy tendrils the color of ripe mushroom. While morning's sunshine glittered angrily through the leaves, he distractedly noted the profuse pain of his headache ebbing away, like a shadow that dies, bloodily, in the presence of light. His moisture-rimmed nostrils rattled again, releasing yet another hot burst of breath. The crevices in his brain continued pumping out questions regarding the young stranger, a perpetual stream of unusual inquisitiveness, however those questions would go unanswered; Cavalli didn't open his lips. Instead, indigo eyes returned to the foal.

Except he couldn't quite read her features, because she was running.

Startled at the sudden movement, Cavalli tossed his head up with the curving arch of his nape, ears plummeting forward in hungry, primitive pursuit of auditory information. The captured easily the gentle but frenzied thunder of miniature hooves sprinting across the forest's floor, and his eyes saw her immature figure fleeing in the direction from which she'd appeared. For the hasty duration of a few moments, the male hesitated. Four pinkish hooves remained planted indifferently atop the cooled earth. His attention, however, was wholly consumed by the newly-fled. Perhaps she'd remembered, now, where her parents were. Or perhaps she'd sensed his utter usefulness and decided to choose someone else who seemed more fit to handle her choppy, vague chatter. While it made sense, a minute twinge in his heart abandoned such ideas. He heard her voice again, trilling along with her, and in that moment he decided to succumb to emotion.

Muscles tensed in his legs, chest, flanks, and he pushed off the floor with new motive. It hurt, at first, to move as quickly as he had (he'd been sluggish and listless previously) but he gnashed his molars together and pressed onward through the thickets and undergrowth. He followed her, fully conscious of his irrational impulse. The stallion knew not why he pursued the small and frail creature that galloped ahead of him through the trees, but he knew that he'd grown lonely and hollow. Galloping after her, he felt the Orangemoon rays of golden touch down in splashes against his flesh, warming bits of his hide as he whisked along. He was never speedy nor nimble - it was hard when two wings dragged alongside pumping limbs - and occasional he stumbled among the vegetation. The frayed ends of his wings brushed the ground dangerously close to his crushing hooves, and so while he moved attentively, he was slow.
