Twirling her ears to and fro as the salty breeze wafted past her, the mare flicked her tail idly as small pests hovered near her skin. They attempted to land but she quickly made her skin shiver, causing them to leap off immediately and continue zooming around her. The buzz of their wings could easily be heard even with the calls of seagulls above her. Light blue eyes raised to look upon the birds as they glided with ease. She almost wished to join them in their flight, but the mare was sure they would scatter as soon as she took to the air. Sighing softly, the dame turned her attention to the surf. She paused in her movement to watch the waves as they crashed against the shore. From where she stood, she could almost reach out with her hoof and let the aqua lap up over her hocks, but she held back and merely watched.
Another sigh escaped past the mare’s lips. Where was she to go from here? Aveira felt utterly alone and unsure of what to do.
