Whatever happened to the vixen, she wasn’t entirely sure. She spent a majority of her days exploring new lands. Some surprising; some exactly what she had expected; at least whence she had been told the name. But these lands seemed familiar in a sense. The smells were similar; but appearances had changed. A slight scent caught her senses and caused the mare to close her eyes; trying to imagine where she had smelled the familiar scent before. A small flash of the threshold came to mind. The mare opened her teal eyes, glancing around once more before exhaling sharply. Ah, the good old threshold. Shaking her head slightly, she continued on into the woodlands. Perhaps she could come across someone else and provide the tiny bit of information that she had learned of Helovia. It wasn’t much, but it would do for now. At least to get the point across.

A bit more of trudging on; the small golden mare took small steps, counting each one as she felt the sun overhead beating down on her dappled coat. A watchful eye turned upward to keep her eye in case there were dangerous things nearby. The last thing she wanted to do was cut herself up on a branch sticking out. Speaking of branches and trees; a loud sound caught the vixen’s attention. Ears quickly turning to the resonating sound. Eyes turned as well; curious but also slightly cautious. There was an inner battle going on at that moment as she heard the sound of what appeared to seem like a tree breaking. She was unsure, however. What could be big enough to cause a tree to fall? Her eyes glanced around at the monumental pines surrounding her. Something… Big. She spent a few more moments debating with herself about whether or not she should check it out. Pinpointing the source of the sound through the echoes, she decided that it couldn’t do too much harm to look.

It had been a bit hard to accurately decide where the sound came from due to the reverberating sounds bouncing to and fro from each tree. She felt as though she did a great job trying to get in the general vicinity. However, she saw nothing. It was at this point in time when the sun had hidden itself deep within the thick clouds; causing the mare to exhale slightly, feeling raindrops create their own unique patterns on her already patterned coat. The vibrant gold color in the sun now turning into a kind of muddled mess of dark golds and creams; the chain connecting from her horn now began to softly drip pools of water onto her forehead. A slight annoyance toward that factor, she shook her head lightly; dual toned mane sticking to her neck like glue. Oh how she hated the rain.

This point in time, Rexanna had decided it was probably a better idea to continue on her adventure rather than give up now that it was raining. She stepped light-footed in the general direction of where she thought the sound could have come from. Uncertainty in every step of whether or not she was going in the correct direction; but what was the worst that could happen? Spending a bit more time in that same exact direction, her muscles began to grow sore from the tedious motions. It was at this point where she caught something out of the corner of her eye. Something massive. Curiously; she turned in her step to approach this figure who appeared to be calmly grazing in the grass. She took a few moments hoping she hadn’t been scouted out by him to slightly observe.

What an interesting creature.’ She thought solemnly to herself. His patterns were quite unique and unlike anything she had seen before. A large horn sprouted from his forehead, twisting and curving; much unlike her own. Those were about the only things she could see from this distance, so with a calm sigh and twitching her ears back and forth she approached the creature. A bit apprehensive due to the creature’s size as he seemed to grow larger as she got closer. It was at this point in time the golden mistress felt quite small herself. She left a bit of space between her and the new figure just to be sure she would be in a safe zone. Clearing her throat, she prepared herself to speak. “Oh, hello there.” Her voice was calm, smooth, a bit of exhaustion hinting on the last few bits of words. She wasn’t as bubbly as normal; but it was to be expected since she had no idea who this creature was. Had he been the one to knock the tree down? Where even was the evidence of that? So many unanswered questions, yet she felt as though she should let him speak. She wasn’t sure if he was new here, but even if she said welcome to Helovia; would he be offended for her assuming he was new, or would he be curious. She took note from the surroundings that he didn’t seem to have a companion like many she had seen indeed had. She decided she could at least go for it.

Welcome to Helovia.
