The trees here were... well, different. The forest the dainty heather mare was entering held the same density and same emerald intensities as the jungles she had come from, but that was where the similarities ended. The leaves here were small, troubled by even the gentlest breeze, while the leaves in Rastamere had been large and heavy, even able to catch small pools of rainwater. The sun's rays snuck through between tree trunks here and there, while back in her homeland, the sun could barely escape the canopy's grasp. The foliage and flowers were pleasant here, sure, but they weren't as extravagantly vibrant as the foliage and flowers of Rastamere.
Her journey had been long, and she was quite weary. Her mind was beginning to dull, not only due to her constant travels, but also due to her recent loss. Her mother had been stern, ever prim and proper (as a Chieftess very well should be), but she had loved Zissele all the same. She knew what her village - her family - thought of her, leaving her home even though she was the only heir her father had left. Despite the exhaustion that was beginning to fray her mane and tail and drag her sunset hooves, her expressive eyes were wide with curiosity. It had taken the blue roan six years to leave her loving family and tropical home, but she was finally someplace new.
Her toned body came to a steady rest against a rather large tree. It's bark dug into her withers, but she could hardly mind at this point. Travel was grand, but her end game was to find a new home, with no royal identity weighing her down. She had yet to find any companionship along the way though. Brilliant orange eyes narrowing with resolve, she stomped a hoof (almost comically) and whinnied into the deep forest. "Hello?" Her voice was aggravated at best, coolly toned and suspicious at worst.
Gods help the kind being who would grant her some company.
