 Mauja. Torliek . She had heard the names of changes and she didn't know what to make of them. The events of the last few days were a blurr, a haze that she could not concentrate one. She had been secretly protesting currents events with a vehement mind. It was the first time home had changed politically, her first real experience into the life of Helovians. She had never known how much the concept could change. The hills, cliffs, and forests were the same, they were still called the Worlds Edge, but that was all that had remained. All around the young spotted mare were faces she hardly knew and too many of them were strange, converts of the Aurora Basin and possible other outcasts. Yet the strangest of all them all was, ironically enough, one that was familiar. Leeka could not truly say that she knew Mauja but had she met him once, but the moment was hardly remarkable other then the pure awkwardness of it. And here he stood as her King. Funny how things can work out. He had actually been seeking Kahlua then and now he had taken her place as lead. No, he took nothing, just occupied an empty space. Kahlua had given up her right to lead when they invaded the Hidden Falls, an action, however begrudgingly done, shouldn’t have been taken. They should have stayed, should have stood again the Moon Goddess. Foreign powers shouldn’t dictate their lives like this. Maybe those who stood here now were braver, would understand how she felt. Time would tell. Till then, Leeka lingered near the far back, to uncomfortable to stand near to anyone and gazed up at her new Kings. Well, Torliek really seemed like the only one with true authority. Mauja just seemed to be going along with the ride ________ "Speaking" Thoughts |
