She had been waiting for the boy, though not for long. Every day she had noticed as he came to her section of the earth, to her duchy and stand there, as if expecting something to happen. The child amused the elemental, and confused her at the same time. However now was not the time to dwell upon such things, for soon enough the boy came trotting into view once again, his owl gliding beside him, and once more he stood at the edge of the water, his gaze riveted on the mainland across the sea. The elemental could vividly recall the 'pain' as her sisters fell to the sea, exploded without care, their living creatures drowned, their plants swallowed by the relentless ocean. In fact... the boy bore resemblance to the Destroyer, those markings were eerily similar, as was the way the boy held himself. Anger for her fallen sisters welled within the elemental, and she quickly took possession of the nearest thing to release her rage upon the boy. He would pay for the sins of his sire! "OY! YOU!" She screeched, feeling her thousand thorns rustle with her fury as she reached for him. "HOW DARE YOU LOOK SO SMUG AND HAPPY! YOUR FAULT! ALL OF IT! YOUR SIRE'S FAULT! She screamed, though paused when she couldn't reach the boy, confused as to why that was. In her haste to lay into him, she had indeed taken the form of the nearest living thing to her wraith-like form; a cactus. Embarrassment flooded the elemental, and she flailed her arms in a desperate attempt to tear into him with those spines before giving up, muttering obscenities under her breath(well, closest thing she came to anyway), before she straightened. Young elemental she may be, but she was determined to draw him to justice, perhaps drawing his sire to her as well, and then she could somehow summon the Earth God to deal with the fool that would so easily obliterate an ecosystem. "You! You boy, who is your sire!" She had to be sure though, sure that this child was indeed the son of the Destroyer, the 'Wildfire', the Obliterator, the Wrecker of Life.... really she could go on and on with names(not like she had anything else to do, she was an immortal elemental, after all). |
