Though muffled by whatever hangs daintily in her jaw, her words still register in his mind. His gaze is intently focused on her dual-colored eyes, a trait he had never seen before, a trait he found intriguing and appealing. He takes note of her supple, feminine curvature, and determines that she is attractive. At his side, neatly folded wings relax slightly, primaries grazing the icy floor as she places what appears to be weeds adjacent to her fore-hooves. Behind his hulking form, his tail writhes like a snake, slapping back and forth, icy floor dampening the fan of ebony feathers that replace the tassels on an average leonine tail. Watching her carefully with scorching gaze, he notes the markings that adorn the base of her slender neck. She questions him, filling the silence he had allowed to drone on. Do you live here? I mean, in The Basin? Misty breath leaves his maw as his lips part, words ushered forth in a deep, baritone voice. "I do not. I have only recently stumbled upon Helovia, and have chosen to remain unaligned for the time being." Caleb finds himself wondering the same thing about her and after a short pause adds, "Do you?"
She watches him through long, thick, lashes, something he might've normally found alluring, but the stallion was distracted as he noted the structure of her face, realizing that she may be around his age. The thought of finally finding someone around his age, no less a mare, was exciting. "I am Caleb," he offered, wondering if she'd give offer her name. Roughly, he shoved his ivory snout outwards and towards her, whiskered maw attempting to bump against hers as a sort of greeting.
