Johnny Well of course she liked the sound of Jake, everyone did. I try not to be bitter about it, bitter literally isn’t in my nature. She expresses some interest in meeting him, of course, but it comes with a compliment for me so I don’t really mind too much. “I do hope that he’ll wander back into my life one day!” I’m sure he will, the sneaky little bugger that he was. One day I’ll be just hanging out in my favourite spot in the Basin, surrounded by at least five beautiful mares and stallions, and then Jake will show up and expect to share in my friends. He did that, had a terrible nasty habit of doing that, and because he was Jake and chocolate he usually won the friends over pretty quickly. I guess peppermint isn’t really for everyone or whatever. Anyway, I’m just going to have to work extra hard to keep everyone in Helovia on my side for the day that he does waltz in here. It’s surprising when Tiamat introduced me to her family. But then, I can’t really judge about family because of what I just told her. Father, mother, brother, sisters - they’re all around them. “Is that so! Well you certainly look the part, your parents did a brilliant job on you.” Okay so yeah, there were questions - like why did miss Tiamat, of all her siblings, end up here as a horse-like-creature while the others were in the stars and the lake? But you know what, I’m not going to ask these things because who am I to poke holes in her family. “So, Princess, how long have you been in Helovia? Or the Basin! You know it’s not often I find such wonderful company up here in the north. Everyone else seems to be so… grumpy.” I'm your sweet sugar Candyman |
