The storm blew fiercely against Eden's bodice. She could hear her teeth chatter as she made her way through the blizzard. The mare's silvery coat blended well with the precipitation around her. Her only features that stood out in the storm were her pale gold horn and eyes. Her single golden lock was also prominent. She normally hid it from the world, but in this case, it could not be helped. Her few golden strands stood out like a sore thumb amidst the atmosphere of the storm as they whipped around her horn and face.
The mare kept her head tucked as trekked across the icy land. Her breathing was labored and her muscles ached, but she had no choice other than to continue on. She wasn't sure where she was going, but she knew she had to find shelter. Eden continued on despite her fatigue, often losing her footing in the storm. She knew it was better to die trying to find a shelter than to freeze to death without even attempting to get somewhere safe. Eden actually valued her life. She had a family to find and she couldn't do it dead.
Eden's prayers were quickly answered when she came upon a cave. She breathed a sigh of relief when she spotted the entrance. She approached it without caution, not caring if a bear or a pack of wolves resided there. This mare needed a shelter.
As she approached the entrance to the cave her heart immediately skipped a beat. Her breath went from labored to panicked. Inside the cave were horses. Eden ducked away from the entrance to the cave, not daring to go inside. She could hear their chattering. They seemed happy, and one male even sounded like he was welcoming someone in.
Eden slowly poked her head around the entrance, peeking into the cave with awe, praying none of the horses could see her. She didn't take into account any of their looks or how many of them were in there. All she could see was the fawn. It had smoke coming from it's buds of horns and eyes so pale she wondered if they could even see. It scared her, but it intrigued her. Bits of broken eggshell lay near the little creature. All Eden could assume was that the little deer was magical and had come from an egg. It was strange to infer, but if her brother could have a purple marking then a deer could hatch from an egg, right?
Eden shook her head and backed away from the cave. She didn't know what was going on in there and she didn't want to find out. The storm began to let up slightly as she began to leave. It was enough to let her travel faster, but she knew it wouldn't stay like that for long. Eden picked up her pace and ignored her tired muscles. She would find another shelter, preferably one with less magical deer creatures.

(ooc: erm not sure about when this took place for eden since she's not been accepted by a leader into the herd yet, but I wanted her to see this, so she's just passing by then running off! ^^; )

"blah blah blah."
