A curse came roaring from outside above the storm. “FUCKING SNOW!” The golden had found himself in a most terrible position. He had intended on leaving the Basin in the cover of a coming storm to venture down to the Falls. Rohan had not ‘appeared’ for some time and he needed to correct that. The storm though had surged a little too quickly. When the pair had reached the bottom of the valley to head to the Arch it crashed upon them suddenly. The pair being for Haldir was with the golden as well. Insisting to follow the gold until the Arch. When the storm came upon them the young stag, with his antlers finally coming in, he clung to the golden’s side. At first the Laurelin continued to try and leave the Basin, but it proved an ill chance.

So now the curse rang outside the cave entrance and a shadow appears. A golden shadow. He tumbles into from the snow. At first he looks a great fright. Mane was blown and knotted, and snow clung to every surface. For a moment he stands there catching his breath from the incredible wind, before finally looking up to see the group. For a moment he looks frozen as the snow on his coat. Then his ears turn back in reserve, and his head raises. He says nothing though of an apology, he was the golden after all. Instead he nods in a more reserved way than normal to those gathered, all of whom he knew, for once. A small shape also is there, and it captures he attention before he can say anything. How in hell had Haldir beaten him here? Earth eyes narrow to look at the young deer, dark with pale pupilless eyes. Wait that wasn’t Haldir, additional markings line his body. The reminder though was created and the golden looks about him. The deer was no where to be found. “Crap” And he slips out into the snow again without another word.

It is a moment before he comes back, teeth gripped onto Haldir’s scruffy neck. The deer had fallen into a rather large snow drift. Other than a little cold and wet, fine, but he hung, worn from the fight, from the golden. Laying the deer at the cave entrance, the golden nudged him. It was all the mothering he would get. The golden, once again snowed up, came closer to the fire. Trying to meld into the shadows once more. He didn’t want to be here. He had other places to be and cave that would do just as well. But here they were. Trapped. The least the world could do was hurry up these awkward moments.

Haldir though was having different thoughts. Once dropped he stood on shaky legs, carefully shaking the snow from himself. His breath is gone for a moment, but in the teasing fire’s warmth it comes back slowly. It is still a moment before he looks up and sees his reflection. The stubby antlered stag stops and looks, raising his head slowly. It wasn’t his reflection, it was….well it was awesome! A bleat, teasing with this neat adult bugle calls out to the other, and the small frozen dark tail begins to wag. The cold was nothing compared to the warmth that spread in his heart to see another like he. The golden felt the change and looked to see what he bonded thought. Knowing what was coming from Haldir the golden could barely contain the groan.
