It was done. Miseal had casted his loyalty to the mare draped in porcelain and reds, and she had him. She had spoken her wishes to remain by his side, and the striped took this statement with the utmost seriousness. He would be her protecter, and he be damned if he was to let something happen to her. She was his, and that was final.
The pace of the night quickened, everything seeming to melt away as two exchanged words and looks that were only meant for the other. Sparks flew as they touched, peered, needed each other. Miseal's self control slipping from his hands as he took one last look into those pale lanterns that were to be forever burned and remembered in his brain. She did not run, she did not speak, but only trusted that Miseal was going to take care of her.
He claimed her then, his heart beat speeding at the feel of all of her. It was an interlocking of fates. A changing of stranger to someone that had shared a night under the stars with the beast of blue and gold. He had gone after the fae of white and returned victorious. His prey carefully caught and cared, to become a lover in the lowly lights. She was his, and Miseal--was hers.
