z è k l è As though summoned by the girl's memory, a streak of black and blue appeared, damp and shivering but full of life. He'd been jumping in snow banks and now, cold and weary, was trying to find his way back home. He was certain that it must be vaguely leftwards, though he was beginning to fear that he'd gone a bit too far left and wound up on the right again. Perhaps he ought to ask the Earth God to give Squishy the ability to find the way home. Not that it was that important, really... he always made his way back eventually. And getting lost really just meant he got to have even more adventures, right? Like the one he was about to have right now, with his friend the Princess who he hadn't seen in forever! He'd surprise her, he'd decided, leap out of the brush like the badass he was, all graceful and knightly-like. He leaped. It was as graceful as could be expected, given that Zero moved through life with all the decorum of a startled flamingo. He tried to salvage it. Really, he did. The boy spread his single wing in a haphazard attempt to regain his balance and impress his (his) princess, grinning lopsidedly as lanky legs tried to figure out exactly where they should be. When he finally felt stable he proceeded to shake off the wayward snow, vibrations coursing through him from nose to tailfeathers, setting off a lightning storm upon his wing and back. The metal of his barren side shook, too, rippling as easily as muscle and reflecting whatever expression poor Själ had decided to wear. He kind of wanted to say something dashing, something that'd just wow her off her feet (nevermind that she was already on the ground). But Zero had never been a master of seduction, and probably never would be, and besides, she seemed to be guarding something, and that was pretty interesting, so he flopped down beside her to get a better look, beaming boyishly and giving her his total attention, because in that moment, to that boy, she was the only important thing in the whole entire world.
