Ilios

Jealousy bubbled up in his gut as silver eyes found the hound watching the spar. The young stallion hadn't known Caleb was bonded, since the dog had not been around when they met. Why was his bonded not helping, not tearing at his golden flesh? Confusion turned to anger as he assumed the male was to cocky in his own prowess to seek it's help. He roared his rage as horn found flesh. The mark was barely deep enough to even draw blood, let alone slow the larger brute down. 'Fuck! I have to do better than that bullshit!' Fire burned in the lad's stomach as he finally came to a halt facing the inky stallion. His words drip with sarcasm and twisted humor, "Oh Caleb! I didn't realize it was you." He sneered and pawed in frustration at the wet sand, neck arched, and eyes burning. He watched the stallion silver orbs narrowed against the down pour. Lightning lite up the scene for a moment as the black threw himself forward.

With the testosterone and adrenaline pounding through his veins the colt did one of the dumbest things ever; waited. There would be no running tonight, no chance of fleeing from this fight. This was purely for honor and he wanted to wear that invisible medal; dangle it in Caleb's face. He braced as the taller raced towards his left, jaw open ready to bite his own skin. Fast as a snake the stallion reached out for Caleb's own body, teeth searching for the back of his left rear leg. Pain seared through his own body as teeth met their mark. Blood oozed out of the gash and was just as quickly washed away by the rain. The burning cut was only the first of it; hooves barely clipped his flank, causing a good sided bruise. He staggered sideways trying to escape the hooves and teeth. Sand sucked at his teal legs trying to draw him down into the grainy soppy muck. Horned head whipped around to check the wound;teeth marks met his gaze as, raw flesh exposed around his dark golden coat.

Once more he roared in frustration and anger as silver eyes sought out the black brute. Caleb was just turning to face him as Ilios took off cantering. Massive wings snapped open and with a must thrust he took wing. To do what he wanted, he only needed to be a two or three feet off the ground, just to give his burning legs a rest. His side twitched trying to keep his mind off of the ache there. Large silver and teal wings flapped angrily at the battering rain, driving him towards Caleb. Carefully he angled his forelegs so the spikes on the glowing boots pointed right at Caleb's chest. A wicked sneer played over his face as lightning flashed once more as if cheering the golden on. If he could get there fast enough, he would aim to impale the black right in the chest, or side if he moved just right. He allowed the buffering winds to shove him right past the other. Once out of range he ducked his wing down to the right allowing himself to spin lower and around. He landed with a loud thump in the wet sand eyes glued on the other once more waiting for his next attack. His sides heaved, his body aches, veins pulsed, and eyes burned as eh waited silently now. He was sure neither of them had a whole lot left to give. He was careful to keep his wings spread, trying to use them as bait, if he could lure Caleb closer, maybe he would be able to get in one more good hit.

OOC: Attacks 2/3 Takes damage to his left ribs(towards the back) and a bruise on his flank(close to the ribs). Tries to bite Caleb's left rear leg as Caleb bites his side. Then he takes of cantering towards Caleb and flies off, low, aiming his the spiked part of his boots at Caleb's chest, or his side if he turns. Allows himself to fly past him out of Caleb's reach.
