He said it was okay that I'd hugged him even with the boils that covered me, but deep down I knew that it wasn't. It was a sickness that none of us knew anything about and there I was hugging a friend and possibly spreading it to him. I knew that if Drago got sick I'd be so upset with myself over it. "Sorry..." I murmured again, but then I looked at Resplendence, the pretty mare that had offered to heal me. I couldn't help but wonder what she could do with my wing since it was such an old injury.
I frowned mostly to myself when she seemed to shrink, but then there were vines and mud weaving around my wings and feathers and I ... I didn't expect it. I flinched and found myself scooting away from her and Dragomir and the light that the stallion provided. I was used to light and heat, not this. But it did feel good. The ache in my muscles seemed to diminish and I sighed softly at the relief that she provided. "Thank you." I murmured to her.
While she continued to focus on healing my wounds I looked back at Dragomir, who had answered my question about where he had gone. No where. I was skeptical and the look on my face said as much. "What did you see while you were no where?" I asked and about that time Resplendence was finishing up and was offering to explain to Drago about why the Edge moved to the Falls.
"I would like to know why..." I spoke up softly, my head tilted. No, I wasn't part of the falls and I wasn't part of the Edge, but I still affected by it. I wanted to know the reason behind the invasion that (indirectly) killed my dad.
