Word of the battle had not taken long to spread throughout the lands drawing the attention of many warriors and tourists. The land that had appeared out of thin air, now if that wasn't strange he really didn't know what else was. It had taken days of begging mother for her to finally agree to letting him come out here now that the battle was behind them. She worried too much, he would be careful... when he remembered to be. New discoveries were exciting so she couldn't really blame him for forgetting to use his thinking cap on some occasions before blindly running into things. When would mother ever let him just have some fun without worrying about him all the time? He really needed to figure out where to find a new brother or sister so that mother could worry about them instead and give him a little slack.

Wandering through the strange landscape the colt couldn't help but be amazed at all the strange plants and the odd giant scales that seemed to be everywhere. Rumors had said that the battle had been against something called a crocodile maybe these scales were front it. He had never seen such a creature before so all he had to go on was the many descriptions that seemed to change from one person to the next. Maybe there would be another crocodile around for him to see for himself he mused keeping his eyes peeled for anything resembling the creature he had heard about. Wading through the shallow waters the brindle colt gazed down expecting to see lots of those silver fish like he did in the ocean, only to be disappointed when nothing but sand greeted him. Why was there no life in this place? Had the crocodile eaten all the inhabitants or something?

Pawing the ground when objects seemed to appear in the sand the boy found nothing but a couple boring rocks and scales. Fanning himself with his wings to cool off a little before continuing the colt tried to think of something fun he could do by himself to make things more interesting. Hide N Seek...no that needed more than one person. Finding none that he could play by himself he gave up deciding instead to go looking for one of the gods. Surely with the battle here someone had to be around somewhere and it would only make sense for it to be one of the Gods. Someday he wanted to meet them all and find out for himself what was going on around Helovia instead of always being the last to hear about things. Perhaps today was his lucky day...
