Growing bored of finding only rock after rock the colt decided that it was time to find something else to do rather than jumping in the water and walking in this seemingly endless landscape. Looking around and squinting against the sun everything looked exactly the same. Doing a pirouette as he scanned around he still only managed to come to the exact same conclusion, he was lost. Had he been walking in circles this entire time? Looking down to his feet he felt a little discouraged that there was no footprints to show him the way he had come as the sand seemed to swallow them leaving not ever an outline. Well this was a little problematic. Snorting to clear the dust from his nares he started to wish that there was some freshwater around here. All this salt was beginning to dry him out like a prune and making him quite thirsty. Smacking his lips together trying to ease the dryness he sighed before moving onwards, there had to be a way out of here.

Illusions seemed to form across the plains at times getting his hopes up only to disappear when he tried to get closer. This was a very strange place and he had quite honestly had enough of it for one day. Stopping to gaze around one more time his blue eyes doubled back when a figure seemed to appear out of the horizon. Blinking and studying it from every angle he contemplated trying to get closer to it. If it was an illusion then he would have only wasted his time going to investigate but the temptation was to great for the brindled lad. Giving in he picked up a lofty trot hoping that this turned out to be more than a illusion. Closing the distance in no time at all the colt slowed as the white beast began to come into focus. Damn this sun, it made it so hard to see. Raising his head the boy called out to the figure wondering if he was just seeing things due to the heat. Turns out that he had been correct about it being more than an illusion, it was in fact another filly. Pricking his ears forward he studied the girl before stopping a few feet away to give her space. "Hi, by chance do you.. know which way is out? He inquired shyly dipping his head a little. Other colts and adults were easy to talk to but fillies, well you might as well cut out his tongue. It was a strange feeling he got deep in his belly that he just could not explain but it seemed to shut down his ability to have a somewhat intelligible conversation. "Oh.. my name is.. is Aeolus." He said stuttering as his brain flashed in and out of the conversation.
