Slipping beneath the vast canopy of the threshold to escape the heat of the day it was obviously a rather popular place. Birds swooped between the branches, squirrels hopped along collecting nuts for their stockpiles, it was a sight to see and to experience for yourself. The giant trees provided ideal coverage to shelter anyone who may be in need especially on a day this humid. Watching a pile of hatchlings squabble over who got to eat first she couldn't help smiling at the rather amusing scene. Their mother was likely very proud of her brood but she could only imagine how hard it would be to raise five babies all at once. Two had been more than a handful nevermind five screaming munchkins all demanding attention at the same time. It was amazing how some creatures seemed to cope with the miracles of life making it look so easy when in reality it was a nightmare that somehow became worth it in the end.

The heat was uncomfortable but thanks to the shade it helped to make it a little more bearable when the midday temperatures reached their peak. Moving onwards the grey easily slipped through the brush with ease trying to stick to the shaded patches as much as possible. Having a coat of white was both a benefit and a downfall in this type of weather as the lightness helped to reflect the sun's heat away rather than absorbing it like other dark shades tended to do. While all this made it easier to tolerate the heat it also tended to let too many of the ultraviolet rays reach her skin causing it to burn. As she had gotten older she had learned various tricks to avoiding it altogether but in her younger days she had gotten quite the sunburn. White was not exactly the first colour she would choose as it was too plain but red definitely did not suit her at all making sunburn out of the question. Inhaling deeply a new scent carried along through the trees swaying her attention from trying to walk only in the shaded patches. Flicking her tail over her rump to clear the pesky bugs away she turned to snap at one of the biting insects irritating her shoulder. Oh how she wished it was cooler enabling her to clear the bugs away completely with a touch of fire, doing so now would only make her hotter and add a thicker sheen to her coat where the moisture had pooled.

Satisfied that the pest was eradicated the girl turned her head catching sight of a rather unusual stallion wandering slowly through the brush. Studying him closely she took in his features and strange yet beautiful colouration before gathering her courage to catch his attention. Shaking out her long mane hoping it did not look like a rats nest before stepping out of the shadows and focusing her blue eyes upon the stranger. Nickering softly in greeting she stopped a few meters away hoping that he would not mind her intruding. "Hello, Welcome to Helovia." She said kindly still feeling the normal wariness depict her actions. "I am Brisa of the Hidden Falls. Who might you be?"
