    MORENTH

_______________

In the past Morenth would've been scolded for letting a mare do all the talking. "Speak up, they need to hear you son." His mother would growl, nipping him on the ear with her teeth. He would attempt to make conversation, but it would always come out awkward and clumsy. He definitely preferred being out in the training field where his actions did all the talking. He kept an ear firmly on Ophelia while she spoke, nodding when appropriate and sometimes looking her way. She spoke of many things of this land, in short summaries that did not bore him half to death, but pricked his interest some. The idea of Gods and Goddesses walking among them sounded like a ludicrous idea, but with the way she spoke, Morenth believed her.

The silver and red dragon did not appear to notice Morenth's reaction to him, instead playing with a jewel of some kind. A curved ear tilted towards Ophelia as she spoke fondly of him, Tinek the dragon. Morenth stiffened as it raised one of it's small paws, waving and giving him a toothy grin. "Oh, umm..." sheepishly he have him a small smile in return, ducking his head and returning his attention to Ophelia. "What a curious being," he spoke softly, more to himself than to her. "So you...are connected? Can you read each others thoughts?" He asked, wanting to clarify what she had said, casting one backwards glance at Tinek. The small creature was still milling over the jewel and Morenth couldn't help but think he looked like a giant lizard. Not that he'd ever seen one grow to that size before, heck, in comparison to Ophelia he it would appear he was still very naive to the world. There was so much more to it than the mountain he had once saw as his entire world; it now appeared pitifully small.

A soft mist had began to creep upon them and to the west Morenth could make out a thin line of trees in the distance. He wondered if they were similar to the ones found in the Threshold, but then shook his head. Surely they couldn't be nearly as thick as that forest had been. The pale mare strode out through the thickening mist with a confident stride and Morenth followed without question until finally Ophelia stopped. Morenth walked a few paces ahead of her before finally stopping and turning to hear her welcome him to World's Edge. He looked towards the tall trees that were difficult to make out behind the mist. Home. He wondered if he could really make this home. "Thank you Ophelia." He dipped his head.
