KALONA
“He'd burn the whole world down
till he could dig you out of the ashes.”

Kalona Speaks.

Laying sprawled out on his side the stallion heaves a sigh of relief as the tigress finally falls. Exhausted from his efforts and more than a little sore it takes a minute for him to want to pull himself to his feet once more. That damn beast had put up a good fight but in the end it was them that had won the battle. It was impossible for him to even imagine the opposite result considering most of them would already be dead or dying, none of which was an option. Staggering as his legs threatened to give way the golden stag grit his teeth forcing his feet to hold their ground. Damn that stupid tiger! He was already hurting badly enough and it hadn't even been a full day for the inflammation to set in. He was sure going to be painful tomorrow.

Walking was painful, breathing was painful, ya he had certainly done a number on himself this time likely breaking or badly bruising what felt to be ninety percent of his ribs and surrounding soft tissue. There had better not be anymore of these damn fucking rift gods or he might just wind up in a full body cast by the end of it all. Hobbling along the stag refused to turn around as screams and cries filled the silence. There was nothing more he could do other than get the hell out of here and pray to whatever he believed in to allow him to heal quickly. Lowering his head to pickup the blade he had tossed earlier he carefully tucked it back into its sheath along the inside of his leg. By the time he clued into his escape route running through water he was standing there glaring at it wishing that for once something might go right and a bridge would just appear out of thin air. He highly doubted that he would be able to make it across with this much pain shooting through his chest on a constant basis. Fuck! Grumbling to himself he looked over only to find another seemingly in the exact same situation as he was. Well at least he wasn't the only poor sucker left stranded he thought with a soft chuckle he highly regretted afterwards.

""Seems like your god left out a few minor details." He commented flatly turning his multicolored optics to the mare. Judging by the limp she carried she too was stranded here for awhile until she either found her prince charming to carry her across, she found a way to sprout wings or she managed to convince their so called god to build them a bridge. All he wanted to do was to go home (wherever that was) and sleep through the worst of this pain.
