The GOD of the SUN

Burn the whole world down



The fire frothed and danced as Mesec asked if it had been talkitive. Looming shapes appeared on the sands; shadows which waved and vibrated with life and unknown meaning. From the depths of the flames the glowing figure of the God appeared. For a moment, his pale golden body appeared to have been smelted from the heat of the fire - cracks of lava rained down his flanks, and his hooves breathed and seethed with fire. Stepping from the fire, he regarded Maren with a warm smile, before casting a feigned condescending look towards Mesec.

"Fire doesn't talk, Mesec." He said, not un-kindly to his nephew. Winking with amusement, the God stepped away from the fire, allowing his body to cool down to its normal warm 

"Maren, it is nice to see you - both of you. You both fought bravely in the battles. I am grateful to you both."

Stretching his wings, the God folded them gently against his flanks. He inhaled deeply. The God missed the warm air of the Throat - even now that it had grown considerably saltier, it still recalled fond memories that he often forgot, save for when he lingered here.

"How has the Throat faired in the wake of the battles?"
