you can't simply hide our dream in the blue
Stay or go?
Let's meet someone new, Frost. Or we can visit those deer again or—
Are you insane?
Her leonine tail lashed violently around her hocks, letting out a frustrated sigh. Altair prodded at her shoulder, lipping her dark coat affectionately. He was playing sweet to get what he wanted, but the maiden was not swayed. She turned away from him, cloven hooves striking the ground away from her bonded. He followed silently, lingering a couple lengths behind her. She did her best to ignore the dismay that came in waves through their bond, but it was staggering. He wanted did not only want to find new friends, but he wanted her to find a sliver of happiness in friendship as well.
But her attempt at getting away from her companion was her own undoing. The maiden did not pay attention to where she was going. She was so focused on ruminating in her pursuits of being alone that she did not notice the desecrated prison or horses gathered by it until she was upon them. Altair held back his excitement until they were close enough that it would be rude to turn away now. He called out happily to Rakt, bouncing forward to touch noses with the tiny cerndyr.
She froze when she finally did notice the others, staring wide-eyed at them, planets and stars still orbiting around her head regardless. Her jaded gaze searched desperately for an escape, for an excuse to leave, at least. When she found none, she stepped closer to the group reluctantly, peering at their work. "May I help?" She asked softly, hesitantly, weaving her leonine tail in between her hind legs. Altair looked away from the fellow cerndyr to smile at his bonded, pleased that she was taking some initiative to be social, even if it was out of being trapped into doing so.
