you can't simply hide our dream in the blue
She instinctively moved closer to Altair, her tail entwining around her hocks. Unsurprisingly, she found no one she could consider a friend here. She moved to her companion out of desperation, to soothe her nerves. The cerndyr was having a sensory overload, turning away from Rakt to look to a white tiger that had come upon the scene.
'So many,' he commented softly, eyes wide and round as he took in the new faces.
The maiden was relieved when the small, sugary stallion began to address them as a group, and gave her a purpose for being there. She let out a shaky breath, pleased to have a task to distract herself with. She slipped between the horses, moving closer to the prison, Altair bounding to her side.
The muddled mare suppressed a flicker of jealousy, of longing to be like the others, to have friends and a social life once again, as they did. Settling back into her new home was easy, settling into the social network was not. She wasn't making much of an effort to do so, but she felt jealous nonetheless.
She didn't want new friends, she wanted her old ones back.
The thoughts only grazed her mind for a moment before she turned her attention to the prison. She was hesitant and slow to approach it, but she understood the duty she had signed up for. She moved in unison with her companion, the pair taking the rubble and rocks the others had moved out of the prison to the side, composing a neat pile of debris to dispose of later. She would simply do as she was told, and help however she could, for her herd was still her herd, and she would forever be loyal to it.
