Was it possible that she simply followed because it was the easy thing to do? That the threat of being alone cause more fear than the threat of being used? It was so easy to simply succumb to another's wishes, to long to please them simply because it was as things should be. Perhaps this was why she acted as she did, such a simple little thing, no real opinions of her own, only the longing to be loved. Truth be told, she was more in love with the idea of being in love than she may ever be with the one loving her; but then, perhaps this was as it should be. These were not conscious thoughts; these are simply observations. But the gixie did recognize in herself a bit of submission. Should he prove to be the stallion that he acted as now (and she had no doubt that he was not who he said he was), then he would protect her, provide for her, and cherish her; and she would willingly give in return whatever it was that he wished her to do. She knew this. What she did not consider was how she would, then, become entrapped in his will, destined forever to do his bidding. She did not see how this could enslave her, hold her, keep her from fulfilling her own destiny or wishes. No, this, she was too blind to see. And so she was eager to accompany the steed to the beach of which he spoke. She was pleased to see that he was so quick to fulfill her wishes. Though it hadn't mattered to her, truly, where they went next - although she was truly partial to the sea - it was heartwarming to see that he would humor her. "Shall I show you?" Such a simple question, but such a potent one. So many meanings could be inferred. It's a good thing that the young fae was so naive, or perhaps she would have acted on these meanings.
