Another season, another patrol. Funny that I seemed to keep being sent in the same area. Not that I mind. I just hope this season I get to meet more of my herd mates. I feel like, I have been alone and on my own for far to long now. Even though I am still young, I feel old. Maybe it's just everything I have witnessed in my short life. It's sunrise as my frame lifts off from the sands of the Throat. The cool OrangeMoon air feels good, even though I am not looking forward to FrostFall. I love BirdSong the most, but OrangeMoon has to be a close second.
As I fly, it gives me time to think. I really have seen a ton. Two two months, I had run in fear as wolves attacked our small family. My father had fought hard, but I think he knew he was going to be no match. Mother had fought too, but not for long as she listened to Father's cry to run. We ran, and a several wolves who had hung back from attacking my Father attacked Mother. I barely saw Father fall, before Mother cried for me to run as well. They truly loved me, and their love was shown that day. I made it away. I am here and alive. I just wish I had found my Uncle by now.
I had arrived in Helovia as a six month old filly, taken in by Elsa and escorted into the hole that led to the Heart Caves. I need to find Elsa, it's been to long. Hiding in the caves had been frightening in their own right. Then there was all the murders, and the huge ship and lastly the God battles... Maybe, this is exactly why the entire herd patrols and not just our warriors. Gently, I begin to coast down until my hooves gracefully touch down. Yep, patrol party of one here to check out the Rotuna. Wonder if my partners, whoever they may be will show up... Or what I will find today.
